ASL Talent Show

Rachel Menchaca bids on a sculpture of a hand signing "I love you" Feb. 20, during the silent auction of the American Sign Language Talent Show in McAllister. The auction raised over $6,000 for the Rea and Barbara Henrichs scholarship fund.

American sign language sophomore April Lopez browses the silent auction with her husband Eddie.

Lab technician David Raymond lunges at interpreting sophomore Amy Calvet (left) during a Jerry Springer spoof. Performing as the opposite sex, Calvet told Raymond he was breaking up with her.

Interpreting graduate Sharon Zarb-Cousin signs to Mercy Me's "I Can Only Imagine"

American Sign Language Professors Brian Barwise and Darin Dobson perform the skit "Two Heads Are Better Than One"

American sign language sophomore Ariel Johnson signs "this sucks" Feb. 20 while performing the skit "It's A Hard Knock Life" from 'Annie'.

The audience cheers Feb. 20 following a dance to Sonny & Cher's "I've Got You Babe" by Blanca Zamarripa and lab Director David Solis. Applause in sign language involves silently waving your hands in the air.
